If you’re looking for fun, you’ve come to the right place! Volunteering with the Vancouver Aquarium means you can help the environment while enjoying perks such as field trips, behind-the-scenes tours and encounters, and working with fantastic people.

Every year, almost 900 people donate their time, talents and energy to helping the Aquarium conserve aquatic life. Our volunteers include teenagers, university students, parents, families, professionals and retirees. There is a vast variety of opportunities for volunteers to get involved with, such as data entry, visitor engagement, and food preparation.  We rely on volunteer support in our school programs, galleries, gift shop, and – for our experienced Volunteers – Marine Mammal Rescue Centre.  There are great opportunities to gain experience in teaching specific age groups and interacting with families of all ages.

Volunteers make a huge impact on the Vancouver Aquarium. In fact, we couldn’t operate without them!

We'll remind you when recruitment opens!
